Frequently Asked Questions

The Basics

What time can we check in and check out?

Check-in starts from 3pm, so you’ve got plenty of time to ease into holiday mode. Check-out is at 11am — enough time for one last coffee, slow morning or balcony wine moment.

What time is Reception open?

Reception is open daily from 7am to 11pm, with overnight security onsite after hours if you need assistance.

How do we contact Reception?

Simply call Reception on (02) 4998 2501 anytime during your stay.

Is Wi-Fi included?

Absolutely. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available across the resort, so whether you’re posting vineyard sunsets or streaming your favourite shows, you’re covered.

Can we stream Netflix, Stan or other apps in the room?

Yes — smart TV streaming is available during your stay. We recommend checking your personal streaming login details before arrival, as some providers now have stricter household and device-sharing settings. For example, Netflix updated its access rules recently, and some accounts may require additional permissions or paid access for casting and streaming away from home. A quick login check before your trip can save you holiday tech stress later.

Is Chateau Elan pet friendly?

While we love furry companions, Chateau Elan currently has a strict no-pet policy across the resort and accommodation areas. This helps us maintain a comfortable environment for all guests, including those with allergies and sensitivities.

Can we smoke or vape at the resort?

Chateau Elan is a completely non-smoking and non-vaping resort, including guest rooms and balconies. We appreciate guests helping us keep the air fresh, clean and relaxing for everyone enjoying their stay.

Food, Drinks & Relaxation

What dining options are available?

You’ve got options depending on your mood: Legends Restaurant for relaxed dining and breakfast, Spike Bar for casual drinks and light bites, and Dial & Deliver in-room dining when staying in your robe feels like the better plan.

Is in-room dining available?

Yes — and honestly, sometimes dinner in a robe just hits differently. The Spike Bar Dial & Deliver menu is a simple take-away option which operates Thursday to Monday from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Delivery fees apply.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Definitely. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or other dietary needs can all be accommodated. Please be sure to mention any dietary requirements when making your booking.

Is there a spa onsite?

Yes — and it’s a must while you’re here. The “Award Winning” Spa is located in the main hotel building and is open seven days a week. Pre-booking your treatment is essential and highly recommended to avoid disappointment.

Getting Around & Exploring the Hunter

Are buggy transfers available around the resort?

Yes. Complimentary buggy transfers operate during selected morning and evening times, depending on availability and weather.

Can the resort help arrange winery tours or transfers?

Definitely. Reception can help arrange winery tours, private drivers, taxis and local transport options — so everyone gets to enjoy the wine tasting.

What local attractions are nearby?

The Hunter Valley is packed with experiences including boutique wineries and cellar doors, long lunches, concerts, hot air balloon rides and scenic nature experiences.

Is Chateau Elan a good place to stay for Hunter Valley concerts?

Absolutely. Chateau Elan is perfectly located for concert weekends in the Hunter Valley, making it an easy and relaxing base before and after the show. No long late-night drives — just great music, local wine and a comfortable stay waiting for you afterwards. For added convenience, the Legends Restaurant and Golf Clubhouse is a popular Rover Coaches pick-up and drop-off location for concert transfers. We recommend pre-booking your transfer directly through the Rover Coaches website ahead of time, especially for major events and sold-out weekends.
