Do I need to be a member to play at The Vintage?

One of the great things about The Vintage is that this Greg Norman-designed championship course is open to both members and visitors. Whether you’re staying at Chateau Elan, visiting the Hunter Valley for the weekend or planning a dedicated golf getaway, you’re welcome to experience one of Australia’s premier resort golf courses.

Is golf cart hire included with my round?
Yes. Golf cart hire is included in your green fees.
With over 6,300 metres of championship golf winding through natural bushland, vineyards and rolling countryside, a cart allows you to comfortably enjoy every hole while taking in the spectacular surroundings.
Can I hire golf clubs?
Absolutely.
Premium club hire is available, making it easy to enjoy a world-class golfing experience without travelling with your own equipment.
Whether you’re fitting in a spontaneous round during your Hunter Valley stay or travelling interstate, we’ve got everything you need to get straight onto the first tee.
What if I've never played golf before?
You’re in the perfect place to start.
While The Vintage is respected as a championship-calibre course, it’s also incredibly enjoyable for social golfers and beginners. Golf should be fun, and there’s no better classroom than 18 holes surrounded by some of the Hunter Valley’s most beautiful scenery.
Is there a driving range or practice area?
Yes.
The Vintage offers excellent practice facilities, including a serviced driving range, putting green and short-game practice areas.
Whether you’re warming up before your round, working on your swing or introducing someone to the game, the practice facilities provide the perfect setting to build confidence before heading out onto the course.
Can I book golf lessons?
Absolutely.
Professional coaching is available through our experienced PGA professionals, with lessons tailored to all skill levels.
Whether you’re learning the fundamentals, looking to improve consistency or chasing a lower handicap, our coaching team can help you get more enjoyment from your game.
Private lessons, shared lessons and junior coaching programs are available.
What time are tee times available?
Tee times are available daily from 7:00am. 6.30am pending day/daylight savings.
Early morning rounds are particularly popular, offering cooler conditions, stunning Hunter Valley sunrises and some of the most picturesque views you’ll experience on the course.
We recommend booking ahead, particularly during weekends, public holidays and concert weekends.
Is The Vintage suitable for golf groups?
Absolutely.
From corporate golf days and charity events to social golf weekends and friendly competitions, The Vintage is a popular choice for groups looking to combine great golf with a memorable Hunter Valley experience.

How do I book a tee time?
Tee times can be booked online or by contacting The Vintage Golf Shop directly.
Guests staying onsite and holders of prize vouchers are asked to contact the Golf Shop to make their booking. Please have your accommodation booking number or prize voucher code available when booking.
Please note that American Express (AMEX) payments are currently not accepted for online tee time bookings.
To ensure your preferred playing time, we recommend booking in advance, particularly during peak travel periods, school holidays and major Hunter Valley events.
Our team can also assist with group bookings, club hire, lessons and visitor enquiries.
Is The Vintage suitable for a couples' golf getaway?
Absolutely.
